Inspiring Next-generation STEM Problem writers through Integrating Real-world applications and Exploration

Fellows will engage in analysis of previously used and published HS Contest topical and team problem questions and their connection to contexts in Science, Engineering and Mathematics and the Washington State Mathematics Standards. Fellows will examine the ability for students to access the context and the mathematical knowledge and skills needed for students to successfully engage in the problems. Fellows will create topical questions with multiple choice questions and engage in a feedback process to fine tune questions. Fellows will work collaboratively to write a team problem question and multi-step open ended questions. Fellows will reflect on the work produced and assessment writing process.
