Professional Development and Clock Hour Offerings

Upcoming Clock Hour Opportunities

  • Attendees of NWMC can apply for Clock Hours for sessions attended.

    Up to 20 Hours available, including STEM hours.

    NWMC Clock Hours are $2 per hour for members and non-members, with all proceeds going towards the Educator Support Fund

    To Redeem:

    1. Register for NWMC

    2. Sign in at the WSMC table while at the conference and pick up a Clock Hour form

    3. Attend sessions and record sessions you attend, including noting if the session has the STEM indicator in the program

    4. Complete the evaluation form

    5. Submit Evaluation form and payment at the end of the conference at the registration desk OR mail the evaluation form and payment to the Clock Hour chair listed on the form

  • WSMC is proud to partner with CWU on the annual day celebrating the first woman to earn a doctorate in the mathematics.

    This event is free for students and teachers, including lunch. Teacher receive 4.5 FREE Clock hours, including 1.5 STEM hours.

    3. Complete an Evaluation Form at the end of the day and turn in

  • Annually, the Make Math Moments podcast team hosts a virtual conference that features over 20 leaders in math education.

    WSMC Members can receive up to 44 FREE clock hours.

    To redeem:

    1. Register for at least the $29 All Week Registration with MMM so you will be able to receive a certificate of participation.

    2. Attend sessions during the weekend and via recordings. Request a certificate from MMM stating the number hours you participated in.

    3. Complete the MMM Virtual Conference form with WSMC to share your attendance and complete an Evaluation

    Work with teachers, math educators, and community members as we support each other in bringing equity-based practices off the page and into the classroom

    The first 15 registrants will receive a free copy of The Impact of Identify in K-12 Mathematics. WSMC members will earn 7 FREE Equity Clock Hours.

We would love your ideas for clock hours we could offer free to members!

We are looking for:
- Existing Professional Development (for example Online Conferences) that you think we would fit our council mission. We would like to review for Washington State Clock Hours and could offer free for members.

–Members who would like support in presenting learning to their peers via Zoom on a state-wide level

-In person / Regional events, such as Math Circles or Pints and Problems, that you would be interested in having in your region
